In the wake of the cry, we have locked the door from behind, turned on the tap utterly, rested our palms on the sink, hunched with shoulders shaking, shed tears with the running water, raised our head and in the mirror, the miraculous invention of mankind, stared at our own eyes, felt pity for our own red eyes, simply and clearly shed tears for ourselves. Time and again…
"Quarantine" is an informal and friendly invitation to look at ourselves in the mirror and draw ourselves with the simplest tools on paper on the days we have stayed at home.
“Quarantine” is the name of a project from the Kabood Atelier.
In between the bitter days, when “staying at home” started, the Kabood Atelier made a friendly invitation for The Society of Visual Artists to draw themselves.
Supposedly the invitation ”to look in the mirror and a simple self-expression on paper”, on the days at home, has taken a place in the hearts because it did not take long for many artists to draw themselves on paper every few days with the simplest tools and send its picture to us.
The Kabood Atelier Gallery’s Executive Exhibition Team posted pictures of "Quarantine" drawings on the Kabood Atelier Gallery's Instagram page every day, mentioning the artist's Instagram page address and the slogan "Stay at Home", and published it in the form of a story, which became more than 1,300 self-portrait drawings.
According to the previous text of the call, the decision was, and still is, that after these difficult days, the selected drawings will be displayed in the Kabood Atelier Gallery of Tabriz and maybe later in other galleries and cities to be an excuse for us to gather after all this separation, loneliness and gloom.
We have decided to end the publication of "Quarantine" on Instagram by publishing the 1,399th drawing, under the pretext of the Solar Hijri calender’s year number, and prepare ourselves for the "Quarantine" exhibition when the artist’s great response to the call prompted us to consider an independent page for this project.
The "Quarantine" call began with the pandemic of COVID-19, but will continue on this page in its own sense, and will publish self-portraits of the artists who occasionally use paper pages in their solitude with mirrors to draw themselves.
دمدمای شکاف بغض، درب را از پشت قفل کرده‌ایم، شیر آب را تا ته باز کرده‌ایم، کف دست‌هامان را به کاسه روشویی تکیه داده‌ایم، قوز کرده‌ایم و شانه‌هامان لرزیده است و ما پا‌به‌پای شیر روشویی اشک ریخته‌ایم، سر بالا آورده‌ایم و در آیینه این اختراع جادویی بشر، زل زده‌ایم درون چشم‌های خودمان، دلمان برای سرخی چشم‌های خودمان سوخته ، ساده و شفاف خودمان برای خودمان اشک ریخته‌ایم بارها و بارها.
"قرنطینه" دعوت غیر رسمی و دوستانه‌ای است برای نگاه به خود در آیینه و طراحی خود با ساده‌ترین ابزار روی کاغذ در روزهایی که در خانه مانده‌ایم.
"قرنطینه" نام پروژه‌ایست از آتلیه‌ی کبود.
در بحبوحه‌ی تلخ ایامی که در خانه ماندن‌ها شروع شد، آتلیه‌ی کبود از جامعه‌ی هنرمندان تجسمی دعوت دوستانه‌ای کرد برای طراحی از خود.
گمان که دعوت به نگاه در آینه و بیان ساده‌ای از خود روی کاغذ در روزهای خانه‌نشینی به دل‌ها نشسته باشد، چون چندی نگذشت که هنرمندان بسیاری هر از چند روز خودشان را با ساده‌ترین ابزار روی کاغذ طراحی کردند و تصویرش را برایمان فرستادند.
کارگروه نمایشگاه‌های گالری آتلیه‌ی کبود تصاویر طراحی‌های "قرنطینه" را هر روز از صفحه‌ی اینستاگرام گالری آتلیه‌ی کبود، با ذکر آدرس صفحه‌ی اینستاگرام هنرمند و شعار در خانه بمانیم، و در قالب استوری منتشر کرد، که شد بیش از هزار و سیصد طراحی سلف‌پرتره.
طبق متن قبلی فراخوان، تصمیم این بود و این هست که پس از گذشتن این روزهای سخت، طراحی های منتخب در گالری آتلیه‌ی کبود تبریز و شاید پس از آن در گالری‌ها و شهرهای دیگر به نمایش گذاشته شوند تا بهانه ای شود برای جمع شدنمان بعد از این همه دوری، تنهایی و دلتنگی.
تصمیم گرفته بودیم که با انتشار هزاروسیصدونودونهمین طراحی، به بهانه‌ی عدد سال شمسی، به انتشار "قرنطینه" در اینستاگرام پایان دهیم و خودمان را برای نمایشگاه "قرنطینه" آماده کنیم که حجم بالای استقبال هنرمندان ما را برآن داشت که قبل از نمایشگاه به فکر صفحه‌ای مستقل برای این پروژه باشیم.
فراخوان "قرنطینه" با پاندمی کرونا ویروس نوزده شروع شد اما در این صفحه و در معنای خود ادامه خواهد داشت و به انتشار خودنگاره‌های هنرمندانی خواهد پرداخت که گهگاه به مدد صفحه‌ای کاغذ و در خلوت با آینه، به خود می‌پردازند.
